{"id":41937,"date":"2020-11-09T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-11-09T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/medgoo.com\/index.php\/2020\/11\/09\/medicare-outpatient-premium-to-rise\/"},"modified":"2020-11-12T18:10:29","modified_gmt":"2020-11-12T18:10:29","slug":"medicare-outpatient-premium-to-rise","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/medgoo.com\/index.php\/2020\/11\/09\/medicare-outpatient-premium-to-rise\/","title":{"rendered":"Medicare Outpatient Premium to Rise"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>\n<p>Monthly premium for outpatient care will rise by $3.90 next year<\/p>\n<\/h3>\n<p><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p>MONDAY, Nov. 9, 2020 (HealthDay News) &#8212; The Medicare Part B premium for outpatient care will increase next year, and so will the deductible, Medicare officials announced Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The monthly premium for outpatient care will rise by $3.90 next year to $148.50, which will claim 20 percent of the average retired worker&#8217;s Social Security cost-of-living adjustment of $20 a month next year, the <em>Associated Press <\/em>reported.<\/p>\n<p>Under law, the Part B premium must cover about 25 percent of the cost of Medicare&#8217;s supplemental insurance for outpatient services.<\/p>\n<p>There will be a $5 increase in the Part B deductible, bringing it to $203 next year.
