Farland, Sc.D., from University of Arizona in Tucson, and colleagues evaluated the relationship between endometriosis and adverse pregnancy outcomes (miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, gestational diabetes mellitus [GDM], hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, preterm birth, and low birth weight) among 116,429 women participating in the Nurses&#8217; Health Study II.<\/p>\n<p>The researchers identified a total of 196,722 reported pregnancies. There was an association noted between endometriosis and a greater risk of pregnancy loss (miscarriage: relative risk, 1.40; ectopic pregnancy: relative risk, 1.46).
