Edwards HealthDay Reporter<\/b><br \/>\n<b><\/b><\/p>\n<p>MONDAY, Aug. 25, 2025 (HealthDay News) \u2014 More than 32,000 pounds of meat are being recalled nationwide because they were sold with a false USDA mark of inspection, federal officials announced.<\/p>\n<p>The recall involves products from Sabrositos Hondurenos, LLC, based in New Jersey.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Department of Agriculture\u2019s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fsis.usda.gov\/recalls-alerts\/sabrositos-hondurenos-llc-recalls-various-meat-products-produced-without-benefit\">said<\/a> the products carried an inspection number EST. 1785, which does not exist.<\/p>\n<p>The recalled items, which include chorizo sausage, pork chops and ribs, were shipped to retail stores and restaurants across the country. They were produced on various dates before Aug. 20, 2025, the USDA said.<\/p>\n<p>The following items are part of the recall:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Homestyle chorizo labeled <strong>\u201cOLANCHO Chorizo Suelto Olanchano SABROCITOS HONDURE\u00d1OS<\/strong>\u201d (14-oz. vacuum-sealed packages)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Smoked pork chops labeled <strong>\u201cOLANCHO Chuleta Ahumada Olanchana SABROCITOS HONDURE\u00d1OS\u201d<\/strong> (14-oz. vacuum-sealed packages)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Smoked chorizo labeled <strong>\u201cOLANCHO Chorizo Ahumado Olanchano SABROCITOS HONDURE\u00d1OS\u201d<\/strong> (14-oz. vacuum-sealed packages)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Cased homestyle chorizo labeled <strong>\u201cOLANCHO Chorizo Olanchano Criollo SABROCITOS HONDURE\u00d1OS\u201d<\/strong> (14-oz. vacuum-sealed packages)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Smoked BBQ spicy chorizo labeled <strong>\u201cOLANCHO Chorizo Parrillero SABROCITOS HONDURE\u00d1OS\u201d<\/strong> (14-oz. vacuum-sealed packages)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Smoked ribs labeled <strong>\u201cOLANCHO Costilla Ahumada Olanchana SABROCITOS HONDURE\u00d1OS\u201d<\/strong> (14-oz. vacuum-sealed packages)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>FSIS warned that more products may be added to the list as the investigation continues. Consumers are encouraged to visit the FSIS recall page for updates.<\/p>\n<p>So far, no confirmed illnesses or adverse reactions have been linked to the recalled products.
