The products were sold at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jewelosco.com\/\">Jewel-Osco<\/a> (owned by Albertsons) stores in Illinois, Indiana and Iowa.<\/p>\n<p>The second recall affects tuna salad and ready-to-eat foods containing tuna salad sold at three other stores in the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.albertsons.com\/\"> Albertsons<\/a> family (Albertsons, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.randalls.com\/\">Randalls<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tomthumb.com\/\">Tom Thumb<\/a>) in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.<\/p>\n<p>Reser\u2019s initiated the initial recall on July 21 because breadcrumbs used as an ingredient in their tuna salad may have been contaminated with <em>Listeria monocytogenes<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>So far, there have been no reports of illness due to consumption of the tuna products, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/safety\/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts\/albertsons-companies-stores-arkansas-louisiana-oklahoma-and-texas-voluntarily-recalls-select-items\">U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Caused by bacteria that can spread through many foods, including deli meats and dairy products that haven&#8217;t been treated to kill bacteria, listeria infection, or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/food\/foodborne-pathogens\/listeria-listeriosis\">listeriosis<\/a>, can be very serious in pregnant women, seniors and people with weakened immune systems, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\/diseases-conditions\/listeria-infection\/symptoms-causes\/syc-20355269\">Mayo Clinic<\/a>.
