{"id":162439,"date":"2025-06-30T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-06-30T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/medgoo.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/30\/close-to-150000-pounds-of-ready-to-eat-bologna-recalled-due-to-mislabeling\/"},"modified":"2025-07-02T15:10:27","modified_gmt":"2025-07-02T15:10:27","slug":"close-to-150000-pounds-of-ready-to-eat-bologna-recalled-due-to-mislabeling","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/medgoo.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/30\/close-to-150000-pounds-of-ready-to-eat-bologna-recalled-due-to-mislabeling\/","title":{"rendered":"Close to 150,000 Pounds of Ready-to-eat Bologna Recalled Due to Mislabeling"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><\/h3>\n<p><b>By Denise Mann HealthDay Reporter<\/b><br \/>\n<b><\/b><\/p>\n<p>MONDAY, June 30, 2025 (HealthDay News) \u2014 Gaiser&#8217;s European Style Provisions Inc. is recalling almost 150,000 pounds of ready-to-eat bologna due to mislabeling.<\/p>\n<p>The recalled lunch meats contain meat or poultry source materials that are not listed on the product labels,&nbsp;<em>CBS News<\/em>&nbsp;reports.<\/p>\n<p>The bologna was sold under various names and labels and was produced between March 20 and June 20 of this year.<\/p>\n<p>They include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Vacuum-packed packages of &#8220;FAMILY TREE BOLOGNA VEAL&#8221; (containing undeclared pork)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Plastic-wrapped packages of &#8220;BABUSHKA&#8217;S RECIPE CHICKEN BOLOGNA&#8221; (undeclared pork)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Plastic-wrapped packages of &#8220;FANCY BOLOGNA&#8221; (undeclared beef and chicken)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Vacuum-packed packages of &#8220;GAISERS RUSSIAN BRAND DOKTORSKAYA BOLOGNA&#8221; (undeclared beef)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Plastic-wrapped packages of &#8220;GAISERS BOLOGNA VEAL&#8221; (undeclared chicken and pork)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Plastic-wrapped packages of &#8220;GAISERS TURKEY BOLOGNA&#8221; (undeclared chicken and pork)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Plastic-wrapped packages of &#8220;CHICKEN BOLOGNA KYPOYKA PABA&#8221; (undeclared pork)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These items were&nbsp;distributed from the Union, N.J., company to nationwide wholesale and retail locations&nbsp;and have establishment number &#8220;EST. 5385&#8221; inside the&nbsp;U.S. Department of Agriculture&nbsp;(USDA) inspection mark on the labels.<\/p>\n<p>The USDA\u2019s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) received a complaint through a hotline and determined that the products contained source materials that were not declared on the label.<\/p>\n<p>The group does not anticipate any adverse health effects if the products are consumed, and there haven&#8217;t been any confirmed reports of illness. Still, officials are urging the public not to consume the recalled products.<\/p>\n<p>These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
